This double volume is intended to provide Orisha devotees and other interested persons with information on the practice of the sacred Orisha tradition in Trinidad. The ridicule to which all African religious practices were subjected in the public media have not been forgotten, however, over the past decade or two, people from all walks of life have been seeking more information about the tradition and their own spirituality. Part one of this double-volume, titled Showing the Way, presents two leading Orisha elders, Iyalorisha Melvina Rodney and Babalorisha Clarence Forde. Part two, titled Learning the Way presents an Orisha choir of the Oshun Shrine of mainly young devotees learning Orisha songs from two Orisha elders, Baba Sam Phills and Mongba Fitzroy Emmanuel. The arrangement of the selected songs represents the order in which Orisha powers are invoked in Trinidad orisha ebo (feast).
