The “Ravenscry” project was born in August 2008 and took its first steps in October, because of the difficult selection of a vocalist who embodied the ethical and stylistic features of the members. The final line-up is composed of Paul Raimondi (guitar), Mauro Paganelli (guitar), Andrea “Fagio” Fagiuoli (bass), Simon Carminati (drums) and Giulia Stefani (vocals) from Rome. The single members background, together with a great enthusiasm and common determination, contributed to create a project conceived and curated in its details. They made their debut at “Agriturock” (because of the call of the organizer, the notable drummer Luca Capitani), festival held in Tarquinia (VT) on 12 and 13 June. Here they obtained a great feedback, like in the following live show in “Libera la Festa”, Osio Sopra (Bergamo). On July they opened the official website, Myspace and Facebook and published the photoshooting by Diego di Guardo. At the same period they had a double concert with Muppet Suicide as part of the “Almen Jammin' Festival”. The Ravenscry first year of life was celebrated with a concert in Almenno san Salvatore (Bergamo) during the “Ferragosto Almennese”. In August the Steet Team “USA” and “Scandinavia” were opened and assigned to two fans from those countries. Shortly after the Lastfm publication, on 30 and 31 October two lives have held, respectively at “Motorockas” (Mozzate, Como) w/ The Shiver and “Black Rose” (Acquafredda, Brescia) w/ Tragodia. The last one was characterized by the pleasant presence of the Swedish Street Team administrator. The Russian Street Team started up on the 22nd of November. December was particularly intense for the band that saw the release of the EP, its distribution on iTunes and the subsequent promotional campaign: radio interviews and broadcasts: RBG (Italy), Radio Web Stereo (Italy) e Top Rock Radio (UK); a promotional video publication; live at “Caf Noir” (Presezzo, Bergamo) on 25th of December; reviews on a lot of specialized magazines and websites:Metal.it, Metal Italia, Rock Rebel Magazine, Hate TV, Metal Wave, Flash Magazine, Hard Sounds, Rock Hard Italy, Femme Metal, Italia di Metallo, and many more... In February 2010 it starts a successful collaboration with the Swedish photographer Alex Lundvall who will made publicity to Ravenscry music in Eskilstuna, getting great consents. The following live shows were at “Ryan the Poacher Pub” (Barzana, Bergamo) and “Jam Live Muzik” (Nembro, Bergamo) on 20th of May and 1st of April. Same days after they got the endorsment by EMP Italia, the Rock Mailorder n 1 in Europe and official sponsor of the most important European Festival (like Sweden Rock Festival). They received an awesome review (8,5/10) from Rock Hard Italy of April, together with an interview to Mauro. On 30th of April, with the collaboration of the director Salvatore Perrone begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting, Ravenscry made the videoclip of “Nobody” and a new photoshooting.
