I woke up early full of cheer,
The day ahead was crystal clear.
I packed my bag with things to bring,
But one small item slipped the string.
I left my keys, forgot my phone.
My mind a maze, I’m not alone.
I’ve searched my pockets, checked my shoes.
And still, that one thing I will lose.
(Reff)
Each day I try to plan it right.
Yet miss the mark, despite my might.
A lesson learned, but not complete.
Some days, forgetting is my feat.
I walk out the door, then turn around.
It’s always something to be found.
A notebook left upon my chair.
A pen I needed, nowhere there.
I grab my coat, but wait, I think.
I’ve left the coffee, on the sink!
It’s funny, though, how it unfolds.
The things I need, but can’t hold.
(Reff)
Each day I try to plan it right.
Yet miss the mark, despite my might.
A lesson learned, but not complete.
Some days, forgetting is my feat.
i keep forgetting everything
i keep forgetting everything
